Millimeter-Wave 3-D-Printed Antenna Array Based on Gap-Waveguide Technology and Split E-Plane Waveguide

A multilayer aperture antenna array in millimeterwaveband is presented this article. The based on glide-symmetric holey gap-waveguide technology combined with E-plane insertion gaps for a low-cost and low-loss design. radiating part of the formed by an 16 antennas, grouped four sets 2 × subarrays configuration. are fed one-to-four corporate feeding network technology. has been manufactured high precision stereolithography (SLA) subsequent metal plating. This design procedure yields low-weight manufacturing process functional prototypes. complete measured, comparing its performance simulation results. Measurements show input reflection coefficient below -10 dB which ranges from 68 to 74 GHz. measured radiation patterns suit adequately defined ones stage. Moreover, gain above 19 dBi entire operating frequency band achieved mean efficiency 74.1%.
